OlyEcosystems initial focus was to preserve and restore a Pacific Great Blue Heron rookery

Established in June 2015 as a 501(c)3, OlyEcosystems has worked to protect, preserve, and restore one of the last upland forests of Budd Inlet through civic engagement, land acquisition, community education, and forest restoration. In just over four years, OlyEcosystems has engaged the community and protected eighteen acres in the West Bay Woods.

OlyEcosystems is proud to have raised over two million dollars in conservation funds, restoration funds and in-kind land donations from the community, foundations, the City of Olympia, Thurston County and the State of Washington to protect the West Bay Woods. Learn how you can support our effort.
